HypnoBirthing® at Sacred Mother Course Conditions 

  1. General Terms and Conditions for the HypnoBirthing course at Sacre Mother 

• These course conditions apply to the HypnoBirthing® courses provided by HypnoBirthing Sacred Mother. This applies to both group classes, private sessions at home, and on location. 

• The term HypnoBirthing teacher refers to the instructor conducting the course, namely Alejandra Alarcon. 

• The teacher meets the criteria set by the Mongan Method HypnoBirthing® Institute and is licensed in both the United States and the Netherlands. The course is offered in the following languages: Dutch, English, & Spanish. 

• The teacher is a member of the HypnoBirthing Netherlands association, which may allow you to apply for reimbursement from your insurance. It’s advisable to inquire about this possibility. 

• The term participant refers to the pregnant woman and her birth partner. The birth partner is the person who supports the pregnant woman during childbirth, which can be the life partner, the baby’s father, friend, mother, sister, or doula. If you do not have a birth partner, you can discuss this with me. 

• The HypnoBirthing® course is intended to prepare for childbirth.

2. The course

• The course is attended in a group of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 pregnant couples. This applies to all live and online groups.

• The course consists of 5 lessons of 2.5 to 3 hours each. Or a refresh with less hours.

• The course is held at a designated location in Amsterdam North and South, and can also be provided at your home. • Please note that these dates are subject to sufficient enrollment. • In case of insufficient enrollment, the course may be canceled or rescheduled. In such cases, you will be notified and have the option to attend a private course at an additional cost. 

3. Registration

• Registration for the course is done through the Google registration form on the website. See here: https://stralendemama.nl/data-locaties/

• Upon receipt of the digital application, you will receive a confirmation of registration within 2 working days at the provided email address, or a notification of postponement due to, for example, vacation. Sometimes, I might be on call for a birth, so keep my phone on. It has never happened in all these years, but there is always a possibility. The baby comes when it’s ready to come.

• If you haven’t received a confirmation email or message within 2 working days after submitting your application, please contact Alejandra at 06-38164042.

• Applications are processed in the order they are received. 

      4. Correspondence

      • All correspondence is conducted via email. If you change your email address, please update us as soon as possible via hello@sacredmmother.nl

      • If you cannot attend a scheduled course date, the missed lesson may be made up in a subsequent/alternative group if possible. Please contact me regarding available space in the desired course. Course fees will not be refunded for missed lessons, but you can make up the session for an additional fee of €50 for a shortened version. 

      5. Liability

      • HypnoBirthing Sacred Mother, nor the instructor, is in no way liable for any damage to and/or loss of personal property brought to the course by the participant, or for any damage or injury that occurs during or after the course. 

      6. Medical Condition

      • The participant must assess whether participation in the course is possible. HypnoBirthing Sacred Mother is not responsible for any discomfort or conditions caused by the participant’s medical condition. While HypnoBirthing at Sacred Mother exercises utmost care, participation is at your own risk. 

      7. Payment

      • After registration, you will receive a receipt along with an invoice. Registration obligates payment. The invoice must be paid at least 3 working days before the start of the course for last-minute requests. For advanced bookings, the invoice is set at 7 days. Late registration payments are subject to discussion.

      • Your place in the course is secured only upon receipt of the deposit of €50 or the full course fee.

      • If paying the full amount at once is an issue for you, please contact Alejandra by phone to discuss the possibility of installment payments.

      • Many health insurance companies reimburse (part of) the course costs. The amount of reimbursement varies per insurer. Most insurers reimburse after the course is completed. Inquire with your health insurer about the policy terms. It is the participant’s responsibility to apply for reimbursement from the health insurer. 

      8. Cancellation By the Participant:

      • If for any reason you cannot participate in the course, you must inform HypnoBirthing at Sacred Mother immediately.

      • Upon cancellation up to two weeks before the start of the course, a €25 administration fee will be charged.

      • This amount will be deducted from the paid course fee, and the remaining amount will be refunded.

      • 50% of the course fee is payable up to 4 weeks before the start of the course.

      • From two weeks before the start of the course, the full course fee is payable.

      • Full reimbursement of the course fee is possible only under the following exceptional circumstances:

      • The participant gives birth before the start of the first day of the course.

      • The participant is unable to attend the course for medical reasons (presentation of a statement from the doctor/midwife is mandatory).

      • In case of cancellation of a private course day within 24 hours before the start, €75 will be charged unless there are medical issues or complications. In that case, an alternative arrangement can be discussed. If by HypnoBirthing at Radiant Mama:

      • HypnoBirthing at Sacred Mother reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the course in the event of insufficient enrollment or force majeure. You will be duly informed in such cases. The paid course fee can be refunded in this case or retained for a subsequent course period by mutual agreement.

      • If a lesson is canceled due to the teacher’s illness or other force majeure, HypnoBirthing at Sacred Mother will ensure that the lesson is rescheduled. We will always do our best to provide the participant with an opportunity to take the course at a different location and/or time. 

      9. Confidentiality

      • The instructor treats the information provided by the participant as confidential. 

      10.Rates

      • The course rates can be found on the website www.sacredmother.nl and can be requested from HypnoBirthing Sacred Mother. The rates in effect at the time of course application will apply. 

      11. Complaints

      • A participant can submit a complaint in writing to HypnoBirthing at Sacred Mother.

      • Complaints are always processed within 14 days. Your satisfaction is very important to us, so please let us know if you are dissatisfied, preferably as soon as possible, so we can do our best to make adjustments. Ultimately, we aim for positivity and seek a suitable solution for all parties involved.
